YOUR DIET ISN'T SPECIAL

ALL DIETS WORK THE SAME.

And listen: We all know there is too much nutrition and dieting info out there. And it's overwhelming and we are always searching for the next and best newest TRUTH!

HERE’S THE TRUTH:

YOU LOSE WEIGHT FOR ONE reason and ONE reason only. -> You are in a calorie deficit.

Whether its Keto, Intermittent Fasting, Weight Watchers, Zone, Vegan, Paleo, Mediterranean, or another trending diet of the year, the ONLY reason you lose weight is because you are consuming less calories than before. If you choose to follow one of these diets as a means of weight loss, just know that they aren’t “special” by themselves.

YES, any will work if you can be consistent with it. The question becomes “How LONG can you be consistent-- and what happens when you can’t stand to eat with all the rules and food restrictions anymore?”

I’ve never met a single person who told me they wanted to lose X number of pounds in a few months and would be TOTALLY fine if they gained it all back. With each attempt, they WANT this one to be the final answer to all of their weight loss woes.

MANY binge their way out of the diet and gain it all back. I call it the Restrict* Binge* Guilt* cycle and it looks like this:

I’ve seen my own clients have greater, sustainable success when they focus on practicing small everyday habits rather than a list of exhausting rules and foods they must restrict. Yes, it is WORK and habits don’t form overnight. The bad habits you have now weren’t created overnight either.

Creating a more relaxed environment around food that doesn’t make you anxious (or always thinking about what you are going to eat next) makes it second nature, successful for the long term, and it CAN be your FINAL answer.
